Spanish Wine, Portuguese Wine - Attention RSS Subscribers to Catavino

Comments

Ok, so I admit it, Catavino is not the most visited wine website out there. No, it’s true. While we do have a nice small number of visits, we are no Vinography! That said, lately I’ve noticed our RSS feed subscribers are through the roof, well not through the roof as in thousand dollar Google ad revenues, but considering that for much of our existence, we’ve only had about 5-10 subscribers, we are now over 70+. I think that qualifies as a roof-busting. Plus, I am confident that I don’t have 70+ relatives or close friends who read about wine, meaning that some of you are non-family!

Anyways, why should you care? Why am I mentioning this? I thought it would be fun to do a little experiment. I want to see how many comments I can get on this thread. Just to see if any of you are listening, and to see what wines your drinking. All I need/want is for you to surf over to www.catavino.net, check out this post that you may be reading in your favorite RSS reader, and then leave a comment. For the comment, I want to know the last Iberian wine you drank. Can’t remember it? Then tell us when you drank it? Haven’t had one yet? Then tell us what you would like to drink? Not a wine drinker and just subscribe to us so that you can see what wine drinkers talk about, well in that case, just leave us a ;) smiley face! The whole process should take you a minute or less, though I would love to hear where the wine came from and what it cost. I think some of the other commenters might like to hear this too. Feel free to say what you want. Oh and el Jefe, if your listening, please feel free to talk about your own wine since it does hail, in a way, from Iberia!

I know this is form of virtual pan handling, but I really want to see if we can get up to that 70 comment mark. Hell, I subscirbe to my own feed so I’ll have to post a comment too, I guess. I know my parents are out there, no excuses folks, step up and let us know what the family that brought you Opaz is drinking?

Being a realist, I’m willing to bet we could get 30 comments, maybe more. Then again, maybe all the feeds are just scrapers and therefore, nobody’s listening after all.

Here’s a nice format you can cut and past to the comments if you want to make it even easier to post a comment:

Latest Iberian Wine: (insert wine)(price)(purchase location)
Where you read CV’s feed: (bloglines, google, insert others)
Subscribe to our iTunes Podcast feed: (yes/no)

Cheers and thanks for the help!

Ryan Opaz

PS for all of you asking yourself what it is I’m talking about. Please read this. Then if your still confused send me an email and I’ll try to help you out personally!

PSS if you are not a subscriber to our feed, you can still leave a comment. Just let us know how you find our site.

PSSS I hope i”m not embarrassed and left with 5 comments, the rest being bots.
