Conca de Barbera  is mainly an agricultural region devoted to vineyard farming. The first grape-vines were brought from France by the Cister monks,who arrived to the monastery of Poblet. Since then vineyard farming spread fast throughout the whole region thanks to the excellent quality of the soil. Except for the time when phylloxera appeared, vine growing has continued throughout the years without interruption.

Rosa Maria Torres vineyards are located in the town limits of Sarral and Conca de Barbera. The 110 hectares (271.7 acres) of the property makes it possible for us to use our own harvest for the production of our wine. The quality of our grapes is controlled and guaranteed from its origin by our enologists. Our vineyards have been cultivated for more than one hundred years. Great changes have happened in the last twenty years, since new French grape-vine varieties have been planted. Our aim is to meet the requirements of present-day international market. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay and Viognier are the grape varieties grown in our vineyards for the elaboration of red, white and rose wine and cava. Such grape-varieties have shown good adaptation, achieving great results for the elaboration of quality wine. Several generations have devoted themselves to grape-vine farming and elaboration of our wines. Nowadays Rosa Maria Torres S.L. is a family-run business just like it has been from its foundation. Our current techniques together with the experience and tradition inherited from our ancestors provide our products with the highest quality. Our wines are enjoyed in most European countries. Year after year, our customers loyalty shows the quality of our product.
